I’ve been in the bar scene for a few years now, and haven’t had the luck of meeting a great guy.
Maybe I’m looking in all the wrong places.
I mean, I’m not actually looking, I’m more the type to just let things happen and fall into place when I go out, but maybe I should choose a different places to go out.
According to TheStir, unusual places are the best places to meet the man of your dreams.
- Home Depot
- Comic-Con
- Flea market
- Bike shop
- Pet store
- Museum
- Computer repair shop
- Organic market
- Driving range
- The bookstore
- Karaoke
- Trivia night at a bar
- Running club
- Learning Annex class
- Book signings
- Hookah bars
- Pool bar
- Wine tasting at a local shop
- Subway
- The dog park
I’ve been advised to go to places like Lowes or hardware stores for handy men, but never thought of a bookstore or the driving range to be a good pick up place.
Other places like pet stores and dog parks are good because you know you’ll have something in common with each other.
Bike shops and athletic clubs are good places if you want a sporty man that is willing to go on an outdoors date and not just a dinner and a movie.
Basically, the TheStir suggests going to places that interest you, and you’ll find a guy with the same interests. Also, attend trivia night at a bar, not just a normal beer drinking night, and partner up with someone. That’s an easy way to start a conversation.
Maybe I’ll start taking my dog out for longer walks… hey, you never know, right?
